Thoughtful political commentary with a dose of irreverence.

ABOUT THE PODCAST

The intent of this podcast is to have serious civil discussions with smart, thoughtful people across the political spectrum on an array of issues. Hopefully, those conversations will resonate with a plurality of folks who are not primarily driven by ideology. Instead, they are driven by the desire to just have things function properly. This is not too much to ask.

Aside from being political allies, good friends and occasional drinking buddies, Steve and Emily are just two citizens. Two citizens who care deeply about their country, their state and their local communities. Two citizens who want to lend their voices to the dialogue, absent the toxicity so prevalent in today’s political discourse. And hopefully have a little fun as well.

Therefore, you are cordially invited to take this journey with them. And we will see where this path leads us.

"It may be the devil, or it may be the lord, but you're gonna have to serve somebody." - BOB DYLAN

The lyrics of the 1979 song by the rock legend poetically make the case that irrespective of our stations in life, we all serve somebody.
This sentiment serves as the inspiration for this podcast.
